James Watt, founder of BrewDog (our Great British Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014) has launched a new business, SocialTip. Having only launched one month ago they've already raised £2.5 MILLION. In fact, it broke the record for the most successful ever prelaunch crowdfund on CrowdCube. You can find out more about his new venture here.
Pizza Pilgrims' founded by Great British Entrepreneurs Thom and James Elliott are rolling out plans for nationwide expansion and are open its first sites in Scotland and Wales later this year. 🍕
Two Great British Entrepreneur Awards Businesses Merge: Health and wellbeing company Vivup founded by Simon Moyle (who picked up a Great British Entrepreneur Award in 2023) has merged with benefits and reward platform Perkbox founded by Great British Entrepreneur Awards judge Chieu Cao. Together the two companies support over 4m employees across 7,500 public and private sector organisations, this includes providing services for 85 per cent of the NHS.
Celia Hodson, Great British Entrepreneur of The Year in 2019 and the co-founder and director of Hey Girls, a social enterprise on a crusade to end period poverty, has been made an OBE. Congrats Celia 👏
